Rotational Ball - Tent Vent

from $15.00

Choose between two design styles and 3 material choices for your replacement part: if the ball and/or knob from your original tent vent assembly have become damaged, this drop-in replacement will return it to fully-functional condition and can help prevent against warping from excessive heat in the future.

Replacing this part is as simple as removing the two thumb screws that fasten the outer coupler plate to the inner plate, and dropping this new part in place of the old one. Cleaning and inspecting for damage on the spherical surfaces of both plates where the ball makes contact will make sure the new ball and knob function as expected for many camping trips to come!

V1

The V1 rotational ball (shown above in the Standard material) ships in all Standard material the original design for the rotational ball, which allows maximum rotation and control of airflow. The knob is the only constraing that prevents this style of ball from rotating 360 degrees within the vent housing.

This option is ideal for someone who wants maximum control of the direction of airflow.

V2

The V2 rotational ball (shown above in the high-temperature matte material) ships standard in all high-temp vents. This is a revised version of the V1 ball, with an added lip around the inward-facing lip of the ball, which constrains its rotation. This lip prevents the ball from rotating too far to any side, which could could block some of the airflow from your heater or AC system.

This option is ideal for anyone who wants a vent with directional control and constant maximum airflow.

Standard

Standard material parts are manufactured from a PETG plastic.

Resists heat up to 155F/69C

This is an excellent material choice for use with air conditioner systems or low output heaters, where temperatures are confirmed to stay within the rated threshold.

High-Temp Satin

High-temp Satin parts are manufactured from an ASA plastic.

Resists heat up to 212F/100C

This is an excellent material for diesel heaters and higher-heat applications.

High-Temp Matte

High-temp Matte parts are manufactured with a carbon fiber-filled ASA plastic.

Resists heat up to 230F/110C

This is an excellent material choice for diesel heaters and higher-heat applications.
